With all the craziness in the world today i thought it would be a good idea to list sevin things that i am thankful for.
1. Modern medicine--so my baby can get better from the Croup.
2. Heat! It is cold out there. We might even get snow flurries tonight or tomorrow.
3. Jeremy's job- so that i can stay at home with Chandler.
4. Happy Hour at Sonic--love my vanilla cokes.
5. Jake--how sweet he is towards Chandler.
6. Low gas prices--i've got a SUV to fill up.
7. My mom being able to come up and visit for 5 days. We had so much fun!
I am going to start a gratitude post once a week. I am hoping it will help me realize just how lucky i am.

Thanksgiving
Jeremy and i hosted Thanksgiving this year. My mom came up from Miami on Tuesday for the long weekend. We had such a nice visit. Instead of hitting the stores on Friday we decided to take advantage of some pre sales on Wed evening. We ended up going to Kohl's at 10 pm and shopped there until after midnight. There were only a few other shoppers there so it was like having the whole store to ourselves! On Thanksgiving my dad, brother, sister in law, their daughter and another friend came over to eat turkey. After dinner, Chandler and her cousin Hannah played very nicely together. It was too cute. I didn't take too many photos. But included those that i did take.

Aunt Morgan and Uncle Ian's Visit
Jeremy's sister Morgan and her husband Ian came to visit us for a long weekend. They live outside Seattle and had not seen Chandler since May. What a change they saw in her! We spent lots of time at home playing with Chandler and Jake and lots of time eating good food. Chandler took to Morgan right away. Morgan became known as MoMo and Ian as E to Chandler. MoMo is very good with children and taught Chandler a few tricks while she was here. She taught her how to say and do the motions of "tweet tweet" and also how to do the sign language sign for "more". Chandler and i had been working on the sign for "more" for awhile now and it never clicked. But when MoMo was here Chandler got it. But she does not associate the sign with "more" she associates it with MoMo. It is quite cute. When she would look at MoMo she would do the sign. We took them to the airport this evening and when we got in the house Chandler looked all around as to say "where did they go?" and then did the sign for "more". MoMo would have been so proud!

Fun at the Mall
Today we met my moms group at the mall for a magazine swap. I traded 3 old magazines and got to take home 5 new ones. I am happy as i love to read my trash magazines while taking a hot bath. After the swap we went to the play area so the kids could run around a bit. Chandler had so much fun. Afterwards Chandler went on her first Carolsel ride. She loved it! She kept making weee! sounds the whole time.

Go Gators
Despite their one loss my Florida Gators are having an awesome season and still have a chance to make it to the National Title Game. We watched them on Saturday and Chandler helped cheer them on to a victory by wearing her lucky pj's. This photo was taken in mid-run as my little girl does not stand still anymore!

16 Months Old
Chandler is 16 months old today! I am not sure where the time has gone. She is no longer a baby. She is very much a toddler. She is walking very well now. She has even begun to start running. Her vocabulary is increasing everyday and her learning skills are too. She can say momma, dadda, Jake, Hi, Bye, Ball, Eye, Mine, Night Night. If you ask her if she wants to take a bath, she will screech and then run down the hall and stand at the bottom of the stairs and wait for you to open the gate. When we say are you ready for night night?, she will say night night and then head to her bedroom. Jeremy has taught her certain gestures and sounds that the animals make. She knows the gorillas, monkeys, Jakes (dogs). She knows how to give the touchdown sign, knows the sign for milk, can blow kisses and give high fives. Her favorite thing right now is to randomly hug me and kiss me and Jeremy. It is the sweetest thing. I am so thankful that i am able to stay at home with her and watch her discover her world.

Update on our week
We had a busy end of the week. On Wed. our friends Julianne and Ella Grace came over to go to the park with us. We put the girls in the wagon and then Julianne and I took turns pulling them the 4 blocks to the playground. I tried to get some photos but the girls would not cooperate. It's hard enough to get one baby to look at you and the camera much less 2 babies. That afternoon i went to McDonald's for a quick bit to eat. After i ate, I let Chandler play in the play land area. Big mistake! She started climbing up the tunnels and about halfway up she got stuck. She couldn't get down. I tried to help her but i could not fit into the tunnels. Luckliy there was an older kid playing there and she helped me get Chandler out. When Chandler got out she was so dirty. We immedatelely came home, stripped her naked and gave her a bath. On Thursday we had a free day--meaning we didn't have anything scheduled. We ran some errands in the morning and then went for a walk with Jake. Jeremy had to work late that evening, so we went to the mall in the afternoon so Chandler could play in the play area and i did a bit of shopping. We had dinner there and then i let Chandler out of the stroller and just let her walk along beside me in the mall. She loved it!! She was screaching and waving to everyone. She was the star of the mall. Today we met our friends Karyn and Joanne and their 2 little girls--Hailey and Mia--for some playtime at an indoor area. It was raining this morning so it was wonderful to have somewhere to let them run around. Both Karyn and Joanne live in my neighborhood and they are both very sweet. I am looking forward to our girls having lots of playdates together. This afternoon i had to take Jake to the vet for some bloodwork. Luckily Jeremy was home this afternoon and i got to leave Chandler with him while i took Jake by myself. Afterwards Jake and i went for a walk. The weather was so nice. It was a perfect fall day. After Chandler's nap we headed to the playground, which i am begining to believe is Chandler's favorite part of the day. And it is one of my favorite parts of the day too. I just love to watch her explore her world and have so much fun doing it.!!
Below are some photos from the week.

Happy Birthday to Me
Today is my 34th birthday! This morning I took Chandler to the park to play. There was a bake sale going on there. It was to support kids with cancer. The funds raised were being donated to the charity in the name of a little boy that recently died from brain cancer. So of course i bought some pumpkin bread and a few cookies. And then gave some extra $$ just for the donation box. It made me feel so blessed that Chandler is a healthy little girl. After the park we met Grandad (my dad) at a local bakery for lunch. Then i had a lazy afternoon while Chandler napped. Before dinner i took Chandler and Jake on a walk. The weather was so beautiful today, about 72*. Then this evening we all went to my dear friend Julianne's house. She graciously cooked us dinner and made a spectaculor cake for my birthday. Her daughter, Ella Grace, is 3 months older than Chandler. So the girls had fun playing together. Before we knew it, it was 8:00pm and time to get the girls in bed. Now everyone including Jake, is asleep and i am just enjoying the quietness of the house. I had a wonderful day and a wonderful birthday. Thanks to everyone who made it a special day for me!
