i-Phone Photo Purge

I have loved having my new i-phone. One of my favorite things about it is that it takes wonderful pictures.  And it is so convenient not to have to carry both a phone and a camera. I uploaded all the photos off my phone last night. I had a lot.

C working on a Thanksgiving craft.

She is getting so good at coloring in the lines.

Anxiously awaiting for a friend to come over one morning. Notice her "other friends" are looking too!

This 1 has been on my phone since Halloween.

Flying a jet like Pops at the mall.

J and I on our 8 year anniversary, all the way back in August!

Fun at the library.

Reading to all the "kids" in the class one afternoon during quiet time.

C and Chuckee

Jake had a boo boo on his foot. So the vet wanted him to wear this "No Bite" collar so he couldn't lick the boo boo on his foot. He was so pathetic in it. He had to lay at an awkward angle on the floor. He could not bend his neck down to eat or drink.

The collar would sneak up on his neck and cover his ears and he couldn't hear me. We only lasted about 2 hours wearing it and then I took it off him.  Luckily I was able to return it the next day and get my $32 back!!

The week J was out of town we spent 1 evening painting all her nails a different color. She loved it. She called it her rainbow nails.

Best Buddies.

I got C a hot chocolate one cold afternoon.

At school they had to say what they were thankful for and draw a picture. Her 3 things were her friend Maryn, God and her friend Kayla. I was kind of surprised that Mom, Dad and Jake did not make the cut. Or even Cupcake.

Riding Sandy the horse as a reward for being good while we went grocery shopping.

I intend to upload photos from my i-phone a bit quicker from now on!

Daddy's Home!!

After being gone from Sunday morning until Friday night, Jeremy is back home!!  It was a long week as a single parent. But thankfully I have some good friends that were sweet enough to host C for a few play dates during the week so I could have some down time.  Jeremy arrived at 8:20 and by the time he got his bag etc..it was a little after 9pm.  I let C stay up that late to welcome him home!  She was so excited to see him and just kept hugging and hugging him.  It almost made me cry to see how excited and happy they were to see each other. Jeremy said it was just as special to him as it was to C.  We are so happy that daddy is home!!

Two By Two

I came up to check on C last night before I went to bed. This is what I found.

I quickly noticed a pattern.

All her "friends" were sleeping 2 by 2.

I think she is definitely demonstrating some of her mommy's OCD.

But it did make me smile to see how all "friends" sleep face down.

And I am sure no one got lonely last night.

Lucky Cupcake was enjoying the bed while C had the floor.

What a silly, sweet girl.

Time Out

C is 99% of the time a wonderful, sweet girl.  But i have noticed in the last few months since her birthday she is getting a bit of an attitude. If she doesn't like what you are telling her she will cross her arms across her chest, stick her chin out and pout.  She is also having a real hard time listening to Jeremy and I.  One afternoon she was not listening and I sent her to time out. She had been crying but when I came over to talk to her she tried smiling at me.  She knows that her Mommy & Daddy have a really hard time staying mad at her when she smiles at us.

She quickly learned she was not getting out of time out and was trying not to cry.  Sometimes I just want to smile/laugh at her b/c she acts so pathetic.

After her full 4 minutes in time out I let her out. She was 1 happy girl.

I know we are so blessed with C.  She is a sweet, smart, friendly, happy girl.  But some of that is hard to remember when she is really pushing my buttons.

Forgotten Photos

I was looking at some photos on the computer today and came across some that I never blogged about. They day after Jeremy tore his tendons on his pinkie, C and I headed back to the pumpkin patch.  She was happy that a few "friends" got to ride along.

It was a Monday, early afternoon and hardly anyone was there.

Proud of herself for climbing to the top of the haystack by herself.

One night when I went to check on C, I saw that she had a guardian "monkey" watching over her!

In the dark, it really scared me. It almost looked like a person hanging over her bed. I almost screamed. It definitely freaked me out.

My kitchen helper.

Some fun at the children's museum.

She kept telling me she was stuck and whining for me to get her out. I told her she was a big girl and had to figure it out herself. She of course did.

Making pizzas.

Got to deliver those pizzas with her friend C.

This is where I found C another night. Love how she had to have ALL her friends join her in sleeping on the floor.

At preschool they have a family book.  It has pictures of all the kids and their families and has a little bio about each. Throughout the school year each kid gets to take it home for a week. We had it a week ago and C enjoyed showing Cupcake who all her friends were.

I have started trying to coupon more.  I love shopping at Meijer's because they give out Catalina's. Those are coupons that print out with your receipt that are specific to their store. I got a $20 coupon last week. It became valid after I refilled a prescription at their pharmacy. So I did that yesterday and got my $20 coupon authorized. So I used that coupon and combined other manufactures coupons and got all of this for $3.01 out of pocket.

I also stopped by Starbucks after Meijer's and took advantage of my free birthday drink. Love me a super duper tall iced Chai tea!!! But wouldn't ever PAY for it!!

It was somewhat warm today so we took advantage of it and played out back for a bit. C has gotten really good at pumping by herself. I have a video to upload later.

Jake was super happy that we were outside and played ball with him for a bit.

My girl kept saying "take a picture of me and my brother."  Too cute!

Happy girl playing red light, green light.

It is going to be a long week for us for some different reasons. But we have a few play dates planned, starting with 1 tomorrow.  And I am even getting a babysitter mid-week to spend some time with my girlfriends. Hopefully I will do better blogging this week!

Meet Cupcake

C never had a blankie or favorite toy when she was a baby.  Her lovey was a pacifier. But we made her give those up at around 2.5 years old.  Since then she has not really had a favorite toy.  Until about 4 months ago.  Sparky's best friend, Aunt Ta Ta, gave C this rabbit when she was just a baby.

Meet Cupcake.

Cupcake loves to play outside with C. Her favorite is swinging and sliding.

She likes to go for walks.

In fact she plays outside so much with C that Cupcake had to get a bath.  She even got a spin in the dryer!

Cupcake's favorite show is Max & Ruby. Imagine that, as they are bunnies too!

C doesn't take naps anymore but apparently Cupcake still does.

Most of the time Cupcake hangs out with C, but occasionally she gets to play with her other friends like Lalaloopsy.

Cupcake is not a bigger eater but does get to join us for dinner occasionally.

But of course her favorite place to be is snuggled up in bed next to her Cha Cha!

Jeremy and I have joked a few times that we hope Cupcake never gets lost, as we wouldn't know where to begin to find another one!!
