The Lion, The Witch & The Bat

C was so excited when she woke up this morning and remembered it was Halloween. We spent a lazy, fun day playing at home & practicing saying "Trick or Treat and happy Halloween"! Then after quiet time we headed over to Cooper's house. Kelly's husband had to work so we decided to trick or treat in her neighborhood for just a bit.

We couldn't get a picture of both Cooper and C smiling. But I still think they look cute.

Off to the first house!

Aw, so sweet.

C kept telling Cooper to "hurry up".

We only went up one street in Cooper's neighborhood and then headed back home to wait for our trick or treaters.

It was pretty cold tonight, about 42*. But C told us she was not cold. Jeremy and I on the other hand were freezing. C did a great job of handing out candy. As she put the candy in their bags she would say "this one is for you" and then drop it in. We also gave out 100 glow sticks/bracelets. They were a big hit again this year. And i even heard some kids exclaim, "Let's go to this house! It's where you get the cool sticks!!" After a little over an hour we packed it in and turned off the front porch lights.

This was the mummy I carved on Tuesday night. I thought it turned out well!

All clean and in her glow in the dark jammies. After I took the picture I said "oh it's not a good one. Jake has one eye closed." C came over and looked at the picture and said, "It is a good picture Mommy. Jake is winking at you!" Ah the optimism of a child!

Keeping Her Healthy

When I went to get my flu shot last week I took C with me. I asked her to hold my hand and watch the lady give it to me. The next day I took C to get her shot. I kept telling her that the shot had medicine in it and would keep her from getting sick. We even talked about how Jake got shots at the vet the week before and they would keep him from getting sick too. I was very surprised with how well she did. She even watched the nurse stick it in her arm. C only grimaced for a moment and never cried. Later she had to proudly show off her snoopy band aid to Daddy.

All The Way From Oklahoma

This past weekend my best friend Jenn came to visit us. She drove all the way from Oklahoma with her 2 daughters to spend the weekend with us. We packed so much fun into just 2 days!

Bree and C are only 6 months apart.

There was a lot of dress played this weekend and even Jake got to be in on the fun!

Bree, Katie who is 5 and C.

The 3 of them with C's trademark hairstyle, "meatballs".

Give me some attitude girls!

Jenn and I at the pumpkin patch. Believe it or not this was the only picture I took of us the whole weekend.

On the corn popper.

Petting a baby pig.

I love how hard Katie is "cheesing"!

The 2 of them were so proud that they climbed to the top of the hay stacks.

On Saturday morning we woke up to rain, wind and gloom. We decided to go to the children's museum. Apparently our whole town had the same idea.

Got to brush those teeth.

The museum recently got some new exhibits on the 3rd floor. They had a puppet station and C was so happy to play with all the puppets.

On Friday evening we ordered pizza and the girls got to eat picnic style and watch a movie on the big screen. Afterwards they had to dance to a video that Katie and Bree brought.
C really seemed to like it and I wanted to get it for her for Christmas. It use to be about $15 at Walmart. Now they don't sell it anymore and so it is considered a collectible and I can't find it for less than $50!!

Their last night here Jeremy watched the girls and Jenn and I got to go out and have some girl time for a few hours. They watched Alice in Wonderland and then he tucked them all into their beds. 2 out of 3 of them were sleeping before we got home.

The girls had similar pj's and I was trying to take a picture. C had just been in time out for stealing a toy from Bree. Neither of them were happy.

Jenn and I also got a babysitter one afternoon and got to get out and have a Starbucks and a manicure. Jenn and I live so far apart and don't get to see each other very often. I am so lucky that I have a best friend who would drive almost 10 hours with 2 kids just to see me for 2 days. Love you girl!

Curly To Straight

Last Thursday after quiet time C let me straighten her hair. She patiently stood on her pink stool and watched me in the bathroom mirror. It did not take as long as I thought it would.

She looks so different to me. You can still see a little bit of wave in it. I was scared of frying her hair so I just went over each piece only 1 time.

Wow, does she look like a big kid?!

Sitting on her bouncy ball, watching tv, wearing the tutu, looking gorgeous!

The Best From A Bad Bunch

Today at C's school it was "orange day" and "pumpkin day". C looked so cute and I wanted a picture of her. Believe it or not I took over 20 pictures of her and these were the best ones from the bunch. You would be afraid if you saw the bad ones!

I love the new skirt and new tights. So cute!

Plethora Of Pictures

Last Friday we hosted a carmel apple play date with my moms group. This is C's final product.
It's safe to say she loved it. And Mommy did too!

My mother's helper, Ana has still been coming over once a week for 2 hours. She decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and took C to the park in her wagon.

I was quite impressed that Ana pulled the wagon the whole 2 blocks. That thing is heavy with C in it!

C has such a sweet, generous heart. Whenever I clean she always wants to help. Look at her making those floors glow!

She also learned how to steam Daddy's clothes.

One morning before preschool C wanted to take a picture with Jake.

Sporting her new boots and Halloween top.

And nothing like relaxing with your best friend!
