Walking Her Dog

Jake was a lucky dog today. He went on 2 walks. I took him on a walk this afternoon. Yes, in the freezing cold! Then C took him on a walk this evening. Of course she walked him around the inside of the house and used a rope toy instead of a leash.

He had the rope in his mouth and she had the other end. For the most part he followed her around.

Then he decided he was done and a game of tug of war ensued. Who do you think is going to win?

I love how far back she is leaning and he is just standing there like it is no big deal to be holding her up. I LOVE how good he is to her. He might not be the best dog in the world (or even on our block). But he is the best dog for her!

Mickey & Minnie...Here We Come!

This arrived from Sparky & Pops today! I found it on Etsy and just had to get it for C.

C was so excited to get it. She had to immediately put it on.

I explained that she would get to wear it when we went to see Mickey & Minnie at Disney World. She twirled around and then said "Minnie will think I am so pretty!" She sure will Cha Cha!

Thank you so much for the dress Sparky and Pops. We can't wait to show it to you at Disney!

Pajama Day

Today at C's preschool was pajama day. All the kids got to wear their pajamas to school. I was trying to teach C how to stand with her hands on her hips. I might regret that in the years to come.

Of course she had to take one with Jake.

She told me that they had some mommies come into the classroom today and read them some stories. For their snack they had waffles with syrup AND hot chocolate with marshmallows.

This was the craft they made today. It is a pancake with real syrup and a pat of butter.
I think pajama day was a success.

All By Herself

Most days I am the one that gets C dressed. Sometimes I give her 2 options and let her pick which outfit she wants to wear. This morning I asked Jeremy to get her dressed. What a surprise it was when she came back into our bedroom. She proudly told me that she had picked out the outfit all be herself.

I think she did a pretty good job. Makes me even more aware that my baby is growing up.

He Did What?!

On Saturday C was looking out the front door and saying she wanted to go play in the snow. I told her that if she wanted to do that she had to put her shoes on first. Daddy overheard me and said "Let's just go barefoot." C got really excited and said "Okay." I gave Jeremy a look that said don't do it. But he didn't listen. Poor C had no idea what she was getting herself into.

They ran halfway across the front lawn and then came racing back in.

When C got inside she kept saying her feet were cold. Then she started saying they hurt. J ran upstairs to get in the shower. C didn't want to go. She threw herself on the bed and started howling and grabbing her feet. I tried to grab them in my hands to warm them up but she kept kicking me away. She carried on like this for 5 minutes. Finally she sat up and said "That wasn't fun." Later Jeremy told me that he didn't realize it would hurt so bad so quickly. He also assured me that C would never venture outside without her shoes on again!

The Napping House

One snowy afternoon all of us enjoyed some ZZZ's. I couldn't get a picture of me napping, I figured the slept in bed would have to do.

Jake woke up when I came out of my room, but he was still enjoying his warm bed.

Daddy LOVES to nap on the couch.

This is a rarity. She hardly ever naps during quiet time. But she blessed me twice last week. I think a lot of it has to do with her new big girl bed. She has been sleeping a lot longer and later. Mommy LOVES that!

Half Birthday

Today C is 3.5 years old. It sounds like such a long time to say it. But it has gone by super fast. She got to celebrate her half birthday at preschool. Her teachers gave her this hat and she wore proudly.

Our big 3.5 year old!

I let her have a lunch of her choosing. She chose cheeseburgers and french fries. Then she got to eat part of a cupcake that her teachers sent home with her. Mommy got to eat the other (bigger) part!

When I was emptying C's backpack, I found this sweet gift from her teachers.

It's a book!

Too bad she closed her eyes at the last minute.

Much better.

We got a couple of inches of snow last night, so she happily played in it 3 different times today. I had given her a big bowl and a ladle and she was a happy girl. She filled the bowl with snow and told me that it was spaghetti. Then she added meatballs (rocks) that she found.

Doesn't it look yummy?

Warming up with some hot chocolate.
C, I can not believe you are 3.5 years old. You are such a happy girl. You still have a deep love for books and can spend hours "reading" them and having them read to you. You love to sing, dance and make up stories. You love preschool and ask to go everyday. You love playing with and loving on Jake. You love to play hide and seek and tag. You still love Mickey Mouse and his gang. You love Dora and her friends too. You love playing with your baby dolls and all your stuffed animals. You are so much fun to be around and keep your daddy and I smiling and laughing. We love you this much!!

As Requested

As requested by a few of you here are some more pictures of C. Some of them date all the way back to early December. So this was a good way to get them all on here.

At preschool waiting for the Jingle Bell Jump to start. The kids were given bells to wear and then they jumped up and down for 1 song. Pledges were made and the money raised went to the children's arthritis foundation.

Beautiful girl after the jumping.

C and her best friend Maryn after their preschool Christmas concert.

I was getting the guest room ready for Sparky and Pops for Christmas. C spotted the sombrero and requested to wear it.

Sleeping with all her babies.

We hosted a Bella Bella play date one morning. C and Maryn were the only ones that really got into it.

One evening C begged to go for a walk around the lake. I had Jeremy check the temperature when we returned and it was about 19*.

Hitching a ride on the way back from the lake.

Playing peek a boo at the Children's Museum.

Such a happy girl.

Aunt Mo Mo's & Uncle E's Shout Outs

When all the family was here for Christmas, Aunt Mo Mo and Uncle E had to share a bathroom with C. There are some bath tub crayons in there and apparently they found them. Each day there would be new graffiti on the walls.

The one from the last day made me smile.

C has an extra special relationship with her Aunt Mo Mo. She adores her and always learns so many new silly songs and games from her. Oh yeah and jokes.!!Thanks for loving my girl the way you do Mo Mo!

He's So Pretty

Last night C was playing with Jake and kept giggling. Then she called me to come see him. She told me she was helping Jake play with all his toys. Then she said "Mommy, I helped make Jake look so pretty."

He just kept chewing on his bone. Either he had no clue what was on his back or he has learned to humor her!!
