Everyday Joy Week 4

Day 22:

Poor C was on day 5 of sickness. We had been to the dr 2 days before and he diagnosed her with pneumonia! Poor girl.

Day 23:

C headed back to school this morning and I snuggled up in my chair with my favorite drink and book.

Day 24:

She sure loves her friends.

Day 25:

Jeremy and I are hosting a surprise 40th birthday party for our good friend Amber next weekend.  Some of the party favors I made.

Day 26:

The warm weather went away and winter arrived. at least for a day or 2. So cold, I had to wear gloves at work.

Day 27:

Rocking her pink cowgirl boots!

Day 28:

And then it warmed up again. So we headed out to sell Girl Scout cookies.  This is how it's done.

Everyday Joy Week 3

Day 15:
I picked up C from after school care and we headed to the park to play for a bit.

Day 16:

Enjoying the warm January temps.

Day 17:

Love this sweet boy.

Day 18:

I had to work but C and Daddy got to enjoy a snow day in our neighborhood. Nothing like sledding when the temps are in the 70's.

Day 19:

I practiced making some cookie decorating.

Day 20:

2 days earlier Jeremy and I were suppose to have a date night. But our poor girl was running a fever. Flash forward to day 20 and she still was still sick.

Day 21:

Another sick day. Trying to entertain ourselves with a tea party.

Everyday Joy-- Week 2

Day 8
Bedtime is more fun with matching pajamas.

Day 9
C is still not a fan of riding her bike without the training wheels. In fact she says she despises it. But the mean parents we are, we make her practice for a little bit everyday. We know as soon as she feels confident riding she will love to go ride with her friends.

Day 10:
A little Starbucks afternoon date with Daddy before he left for Vegas for the week.

Day 11
A reminder of the beauty that surrounds us here in Mesa, AZ.  Wild horses seen on the way to work.
(To be fair, I did not take this photo. One of Jeremy's friends did. But it was on the road I take to go to work.)

Day 12
I had C's parent teacher conference today. Our girl rocked it! Mrs. B had nothing but glowing reports of  our girl. They don't get A, B, C etc until 3rd grade at our school. They get #'s. But a 4= A, 3= B and so on.  Our girl got straight A's!! Or in our case straight 4's!!  We are so proud of her!! The one thing she always gets 3's on is her conduct. She is a talker just like her daddy. But this time she got a 4!  We couldn't be prouder!

Day 12
We celebrated C's 1/2 birthday with a play date at the park. So glad so many of her friends could make it out to join us.

Day 14
We started back up with swim lessons tonight. Her lesson is pretty late. By the time we get showered, changed and home it is after 8pm.  Daddy was gone for the whole week so I let sleep in the bed with me. She got under the covers and promptly feel asleep.

Everyday Joy-- Week 1

I am committing to myself to take 1 picture everyday this year. I plan to share them once a week in a post. Here is week 1.

Day 1:
C spent a good part of the morning playing school with her stuffed friends. On this day she also mastered riding her bike without her training wheels!!

Day 2:
Spotted this Momma and baby Havealina just casually walking across someones driveway.

Day 3:
We drove up to a friends cabin for a weekend getaway with another family.

Day 4:
C and Sierra enjoying the frozen lake. And yes we were still in Arizona!

Day 5:
C's first attempt at Pinkie Pie. Pretty awesome.

Day 6:
Jake gave C a soft, furry robe for Christmas. C loves hanging out in it.

Day 7:
It is not quite 9pm. The house is quiet. And all my loves are asleep. I love how Jake is using the pillow just like a person.
